1. From the perspective of element content 

The content of alloying elements, generally speaking, when the content of chromium is 10.5%, steel is not easy to rust.

The higher the content of chromium and nickel, the better the anti-corrosion effect. For example, the content of 304 nickel is 8-10%, and the content of chromium is as high as 18-20%. This type of stainless steel generally does not rust.


2. From the perspective of production process

The smelting process of a manufacturing enterprise also affects the corrosion resistance of stainless steel. Large stainless steel plants with good smelting processes, advanced equipment, and advanced technology can be guaranteed in terms of alloy element control, impurity removal, and billet cooling temperature control. Product quality is stable and reliable, internal quality is good, and it is not easy to rust. On the contrary, some small steel plants have backward equipment and processes, and during the smelting process, impurities cannot be removed, resulting in rust in the production of products.


3.From the perspective of usage environment

The external environment, dry climate, and ventilated environment are not prone to rust, and areas with high air humidity, continuous rainy weather, or acidic and alkaline air are prone to rust
